Open the forumA co-op first-person horror escape through a moonlit pine-hedge maze. Light the spirit lanterns, then gather the whole party at the waystone: if anyone is caught in the thorns, the stone won't let anyone leave until you tear them free. The Birchmask hunts by sight and sound: it spots flashlights from far off, hears sprinting and shouting, can't step into a lit lantern's glow, and from level 2 it mimics your friends' voices. Play online with up to 3 friends (the room fills empty seats with bot hikers), or solo with 3 bot friends. About voice chat: the game runs in a sandboxed frame with no microphone access, so live voice isn't possible. You get voiced callouts instead: 6 recorded lines per hiker that living players hear from the speaker's position. Caught players get their own whisper channel that only other caught players can hear. 3 levels: The Thornbelt, The Hushed Hollow, Red Moon Ring.
Desktop: WASD/arrows move, mouse looks (click to lock, Esc releases), Shift sprint, Q flashlight, hold E to light a lantern or free a friend, 1-6 callouts (1-3 whispers while caught), T opens the callout list, V overhead map view. Touch: left stick walks, drag on the right to look, RUN, LIGHT, USE (hold), TALK.
